SDA Church in Uganda Enters Camp Meeting Season

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Uganda has officially entered its annual camp meeting season. Across the country, many churches are already holding their gatherings, while others are preparing to begin in the coming weeks.

Camp meetings are among the most important spiritual events on the church calendar. They bring together members for a week of intensive prayer, Bible study, worship, and evangelism. Families, youth, and children all take part, making the meetings a time of renewal for the entire church community.

In several districts, churches have already set up their grounds for the meetings, with tents, temporary kitchens, and children’s sections in place. Members often dedicate their time and resources to ensure the success of these gatherings, as camp meetings are seen as a season of spiritual revival and fellowship.

Preachers, evangelists, and church leaders are moving from one camp meeting to another, ministering to congregations and strengthening the faith of believers. Music plays a central role as choirs from local churches lead worship sessions throughout the week.

The camp meeting season also serves as a time for outreach. Many churches use the gatherings to invite non-members, share the Adventist message, and baptize new believers. Health talks, youth programs, and community support activities are also included in most schedules.

In Uganda, camp meetings often attract large numbers, with some sites hosting thousands of people at once. For many members, it is the highlight of the year, a time to step away from daily routines and spend focused time with God and the church family.

As the season progresses, more churches across the country are expected to begin their meetings. The atmosphere in the Adventist community is filled with anticipation as members prepare to receive spiritual blessings from this year’s camp meetings.
