Overview of Uganda Union Mission

The Uganda Union Mission (UUM) was initially organized in 1987 and later reorganized in 1989 and 2021. This union is the central administrative body overseeing the SDA Church’s activities in Uganda. Current Membership and Church Statistics

As of June 30, 2024, the SDA Church in Uganda boasts 1,739 churches and a membership of 557,598. Uganda’s total population is around 50,015,000, and the SDA Church’s membership makes up a notable portion of Uganda’s Christian community.

However, It is also important to note that recent Uganda Census put the SDA Membership in Uganda to around 1 Million members. The figures listed here are the official stats by the Church as of June last year.
